Meet DJ Charlie
For as long as I can remember, music has always been a vital part of who I am. My first memorable exposure was getting to know Tom Petty, one of my mothers favorite artists in the early 90’s. We used to listen to his greatest hits cassette on repeat in the car, and that’s where the journey began.
After years of exploration and branching out, I began to build my own diverse set of musical tastes, falling in love with bands and artists all over the spectrum. I found myself vibing to Led Zeppelin one minute, and Notorious BIG the next, as I came to realize there was a whole world of music to explore.
While I expanded my musical library, I also discovered a love for performing. I picked up my first guitar at about 10 years old, and it immediately became an extension of myself. I went on through my teens to also enjoy playing drums, keys, and even singing.
In 2008 I began my studies at Monmouth University, where a whole new world of DJing and electronic music was opened to me. I quickly fell in love with all different types of House Music, and started to combine everything I had picked up over the years. I started to see how a good DJ can really intensify a playlist, and deliver a vibe that the crowd could truly become immersed in. Mixing and DJing so quickly became my absolute favorite thing to do, and in 2010, I realized that this was my calling.
